Sharon and I stopped at the coffee shop today for a croissant and a cup of coffee before church. We read a flyer that was of the Big Brothers/ Big Sisters and the coffee shop was sponsoring a bowling party for them. On the flyer was a picture of a young lady who works at the coffee shop and the girl she has taken as her little sister. This young lady is a beautiful little thing with a big smile all of the time and to see what she is doing just touched our hearts. We often do ARKs, Acts of Random Kindness, for people so we can pass God's love unto others and we thought this was a very good opportunity to do in this situation. We gave her $10 and told her it was for her to spend on her little sister and the tears came gushing out. She gave us a hug and tried to wipe the tears from her eyes while she talked. After we got in the car two old people had to wipe some tears from their eyes before they could drive off. I know Don does his construction of cat shelters for the cats, CAT plays charity gigs for others in need, Boyd donates his time for the Alzheimer's society and others do their best to help others. We are the blessed so we need to pass it on while we still remain on this old earth. Sharing is caring as they say. I thank all of you for being you. God bless.

I seen to be having a bd time with electric motors. First the wiper motor in the MLC. Today I went to use my Simoniz electric pressure washer. Nope won't work.Spent about an hour trying to get the housing apart. It's glued together to make the machine a throw-a-way.I've been doing some reading on reviews.Bad,Bad,Bad. I'm going to look at a Ryobi tomorrow.

If you need my birthday card back I can send it to you. This generation just throws everything away when it stops working but I. even if I can't fix it, will tear whatever it is apart just to see what makes it tick.

I went to Home Depot to look at the Ryobi model I liked online. Nope,,didn't have it.I WILL NEVER GO TO HOME DEPOT ON A SUNDAY!!!! OMG what a Zoo. I'll look to buy it online. Yes Jack I'll keep the old one and try to disassemble it.To see whats wrong. It'll probably never fit back together after all the plastic part break taking it apart.

Stage two of the truck rebuild has begun. Finished frame is outside and the old girl is inside ready to be stripped down. Easy part will be everything from the box to the front bumper since every cab mount and bolt and the entire front clip is less then 3 years old. The box bolts might be tricky since they've been there since 1994. Also noticed the truck takes up waaaay more floor space then the bare frame did.........

Yesterday Susan and I spent all day in Vancouver. Daughter Justine and grand daughters,Breanne and Jessica were here for a Cheer Leading competition. I've decided that after going to 3 of these in 3 different cities. I've had enough. While I can admire the skill and talent of the young women doing it.The music that is used really sucks. Cheer Leading seems to be all about the noise. Loud announcing and very load TECHNO music. Lots of base and electronic thumping sounds, that make me feel ill.So much in fact that I have to leave for a while. Hope my dear grand daughters will understand.

I understand that. We had the neighbor kid here for about an hour and the screaming just about blew my hearing aids up. I had to take them out so my brain could relax. Whew that was agony.

Susan changed the dressing on the back of my left shoulder, where the latest tumor was removed. Healing well . We bought a Scanner that can scan 35 mm slides today. We have so many Family pictures on slides. Both of our childhoods. We've been looking at them with projector and screen. In my case,it's fun to see them but sad also. I'm the only one left living in most of them.

More progress today - Box is moved out of the way and the truck is finally back inside. There's still lots of bolts and lines and wires and other stuff to disconnect before I can lift the cab off and roll the rust outside.

I think the latter LOL. That and the fact I can't afford to buy another truck which is what a normal person might do. Also I believe there's nothing that can't be fixed with enough tools, materials and MIG wire.

Sharon and I tackled Cleveland for one more time on Sunday and Monday. We stopped off for church at the Broadview Road Church of Christ after driving through sleet and snow then on to the Botanical Gardens in the afternoon before we headed for the motel. Dinner at P.F. Changs and what a wonderful meal we had then back to the motel to rest my old legs. Monday we headed out to the Great Lakes Science Center and arrived just minutes before the opening. We purchased our tickets, turned around to see about a million kids (over exaggerated) coming in as it was Student's Day ........ ! Now I like kids but at my age a few hundred screaming and yelling is not my idea of a pleasant day. My hearing aids were blasting all those sounds into my head and I told Sharon that we needed to go somewhere with a little peace and quiet. We ended up in the cafeteria till the IMAX theater opened up so we could watch "A Beautiful Planet" captured by the astronauts aboard the International Space Station. We thought the children would still be out discovering all the things on display but a few minutes till show time they showed up like lemmings jumping into the sea. Aarrrggghhhh, more noise but the minute the show started you could have heard a pin drop. The sites were just indescribable and awesome. It sure makes you think how miniscule you are in the whole plan of life. We still had a good time as we were together and enjoyed some time away from the everyday routine but the best part of any trip is arriving home.
