I took a member of our church to therapy yesterday then came home and started some work on the front porch of the duplex. I had a porch roof installed but I needed to install some vinyl siding behind the posts so I knocked that out yesterday. I will have to install the ceiling and wire the light today. Good luck with your new toy Don.

Glad to hear your arm is healing Boyd. Yes, too many waffles in Waldorf. Helped them lift the bed from the trailer today and my back is killing me. Came home and mowed the yard after putting all the lawn furniture away for the season.

Great bus, Don! Boyd, glad to hear your arm is good. Wheelz doez good deedz. I'm typing this on my new computer. 1 TB Hard Drive and 6 GB Ram. Uh...still getiing used to the keyboard but other than that it's great. Surprisingly I just unplugged the internet cord from the Mac which hasn't gotten me online for 2 years and plugged it into this new PC...voila! Once I downloaded Google Chrome it migrated all of my bookmarks from the older unit into this one. Also got Skype up and running so I'll be able to do the show Monday without having the old unit fail. I did it all myself without calling one of Kyle's friends and paying him to do it. Will miracles never cease?

Did two more after supper yesterday - a double and a single. That makes 72 three unit, 8 doubles and 18 single unit shelters total in less than 11 months.

Our trip to Sharon, PA was interesting. We stopped at the Sharon Hot Dog Shop so Sharon could have a coney dog, Reyer's Shoe store which claims to be the largest shoe store in the States, the Winners ladies apperal store, Kraynaks Flower Boutique for the Christmas display which runs the length of the store for about 200 feet, Daffin's Candy store with sculptured animals all in solid chocolate (350 solid chocolate turtle) then stopped at a little joint below Akron and had perch and JoJo's that were delicious. Good day.

Pee Wee got in touch today. the New Year's Eve gig got cancelled. They didn't sell enough tickets. This is the gig that nobody wanted except Pee Wee. For a musician, New Year's Eve is the highest-paying gig of the year. This gig was for half of what the other offers Pee Wee turned down would have paid, just so his wife could come, and his friends. It's a GIG...not a house party. There were rumblings, I agreed, but I didn't say anything to the boss. He called all of the gigs he turned down and they booked somebody else already. He said later today that he thinks he has a booking lined up and he'll let me know. Also, the gig Friday was originally told to me as private with black band shirts. Then it got changed to open to the public with black suits. Then today it was changed to private with black shirts, no suits.
I save all the emails in a folder called Band Schedule. As of the last month or so, almost every gig gets changed from what he sends originally. At least this year he's using a 2015 calendar. In 2012 he kept using his 2011 calendar and it wasn't until mid-April that I politely suggested that the dates he was sending to me were a day behind. It cost us the CD release party until he finally jumped up and said OH! I'm still using last year's calendar! I don't think he writes anything down anymore, and I need the Rosetta Stone to help me understand the emails he does send.
I love the guy. He told me today if I get another offer to play New Year's Eve that I could take it. I said no, I'm with you. If we play that night, fine. If we don't play that night, fine. I'm not taking another gig.
I made a commitment to him and I've stuck with it through good times and bad. When I decide to retire, I'll retire, but I'm still doing it. Thanks for the vent.
