Car had a slight hesitation after the launch in round 2 of Sportsman and couldn't run the number. Then a red light in Sport/Compact put me in third place in that class for the day. Not the best of racedays but it's still one more bit of "bling" for the trophy shelf.

Sharon came home a few days ago and told me that we have a new rattle in the Honda. Like I wanted to hear that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The "NEW" brakes were making funny sounds so I took a screwdriver and stuck between the mount and the caliper and it moved Now that there is some good mechanical work right there. Well I jacked up the car in the limestone driveway, took off the wheel, checked for bolts that hold the caliper on, no bolts, called the guy, he said he is sure he tightened them up, me say no way, he is buying the bolts, I will install them and tighten them. Well I couldn't let the jack sit under the car all night as the scrapers would have that in a heartbeat so I put a jack stand under the frame and started to let it down and forgot to block the back wheels and it all collapsed under the car. Got the car jack out to get it up far enough off of the regular jack and secured everything on 2x6's so it wouldn't fall down and go boom again. It is about 80+ with very high humidity and I am sweating like a pig. Man I love cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worn out from being on my feet all day without a bit of shade. I hate doing track prep - 12 hours later and all I can smell is rubber smoke from this morning's heat and scrape session. We used half a 100 lb bottle of propane and just about filled a 45 gallon drum with the rubber we scraped off the 200 foot concrete pads. VHT Track Bite doesn't smell very good either....

I went to the surgeon today. My arm gets cut open tomorrow morning. That's certainly a better date than the original Feb 2016.

That sounds much better. Please keep us informed of your progress Boyd. I washed my two cars and the neighbor guy's car yesterday. He has an older Lincoln that sits out all the time and gets washed rarely so I asked him if I could borrow his car and did the number on it. I couldn't get all the brake dust out from between the spokes but it sure looks better all shined up with Armorall on the tires. Darn expandable hose is starting to leak again after I fixed it. I like to use them but most of them are junk. I've had two of them blow up on me. This one blew the end off and one just split right down the side. Good idea bad manufacturing.

The surgery is complete. The arm is wrapped for pressure till tomorrow. Then I'll get to see how many stitches are added to the total.

A friend of mine had the scars on his arm from stitches covered with a tattoo that looked like a melted baseball. Odd as it sounds it hid the scars and looked really cool...
