I've spent a some time fixing up the new place. Here's what I've gotten done, so far.
I've hung some of my old pictures and posters, with still more to dig up.
Also arranging tools and things, so I can find them when needed.
It's far from finished, but just wanted to showoff my progress to date.
Hope you enjoy following along, as it progress's.
Here's where the Draglister's Calendar ended up. Thanks again John (WC1).
A couple of autographed Kenny Youngblood designs, done for me back in the 70's.
We were getting ideas for painting it then. I have about 6 different ones.
Here's a poster done and autographed by him. The sad ending to a great Raceway. Had some great days there.
Also some on the bench need hanging.
Wider shots, of the place.
Still work to do, but you see how it's coming along. Like race cars, it's never done. ;o)
I've put up/hanging white lattice, to cover the vac./heater/air cond./water heater area.
You can see it on the floor in this shot, before the hanging. It looking better finished.
Also, it gives me another area to hang stuff too.
Well, I've managed to get some things done in the garage.
So I'll do an update, for those that care about following along.
Anne was taking some pictures around here yesterday. I had her take some of the garage and car too.
Here you can see more pictures/junk on the walls. Fire ext. hung, lattice work up, red padded sitting spot for shoes/boots removal in winter, by the door.
Here's a look at the two bench's put in place. One on the back wall and the other between the 2 doors. They can be moved around really easy, wherever needed.
I guess, before going any further, I'll have to say "thanks" to Anne, for the pink "Princess Parking" sign.
That's what she calls the Corvette.
That's the in house vac. system on the wall. Notice the tube/outlet below the table? He put one for the vac. in the garage too. Got the microwave ready out there too.
As you can see, we've got bags of pellets ready too. That should be an interesting trial for us this winter, as this is our first time dealing with pellets. See how much, we really use/need them.
Winter boots/gear and house stuff/paint repair parts etc. are kept in those cabinets by the door.
Here's a better peek at the work bench/table. Picked up a couple of swivel seat stools and a short/little work seat, on wheels for that low wheel work stuff. I'm not getting older, it's just that the cars are getting lower.
As you can see, the bench's have a strong steel base. They've worked real well so far.
Here's one with the car at home again.
Here's two of the toys in there now. Who knows what coming next. The hunt continues.....
Makes me think of Mustard and Ketchup. They go well together in there though.
I've added more stuff to the garage and did some cleaning up after working on Sunny and a Bill's Camaro last weekend. Also put together a new shop cart and bought a great hi-flow portable 3 speed fan.
Managed to get some more stuff hung up too. Here's a peek at the place yesterday.
Hope you're enjoying the tour. More will be added later, as I continue to make progress.
Any questions or thoughts are welcome.
