Getting to the point where I'm going to stop watching/reading world news. Worst part of all is the solutions are so simple.....
Criminals: If you stop resisting arrest you will not be killed by a cop. Politicians: Do what's right for the country and the people from the place where you were elected. News reporters: Be objective and tell the truth - stop putting a spin on every last thing you report on. Religious leaders: Stop hating other religions and inciting your followers to do the same. Automotive engineers: Stop making throwaway cars that are too complicated and expensive to fix.
Those are the ones that concern me the most. Don't get me started on oil company CEOs, internet trolls, TV show producers, cell phone providers, drug dealers, texting drivers, animal abusers, wildlife poachers and more........

Several years ago we had several teenagers die in a horrific accident. The driver lost control after crossing a set of elevated railroad tracks. Now I feel terrible about those kids losing their lives but the news media went on and on about how dangerous this crossing was and the railroad had to end up elevating the roadway. Okay but the news media never stressed the fact that the totaled car that these kids were in had the speedometer stuck on 70 MPH and the speed limit was 55 MPH on that road. I heard one station out of five mention one time that speed may have been a factor. The highway patrol said that the car traveled almost 100 ft. in the air. Such a useless tragedy.

Don't know if you've heard but some sick person abducted an 88 year old man and his 79 year old wife, stole their car, just a few miles from me a few days ago. They found their bodies about 20 miles away in the burnt car last night. Now I ask you how could any human being do this to an old defenseless couple? This just makes me sick but also angry. I can not fathom how anyone could be so ruthless. The old gentleman was Sharon's milk man back when she was young and a fellow that I know was renting an apartment from him. The young man was behind on his rent and the old guy told him that when he got back on his feet they would work things out on the rent. This world is going down the tubes more each day with our leaders not following the lead of the originators of the Constitution who based it on the Bible and allowing the path of deviance to be the accepted norm for our society. Our moral standards have sunken to a new low with even our dear president stating that gay marriage is just a social shift. Everyone of us know right from wrong but do we allow the few to pervert the standard under which we live? Not me as I will go down fighting for what is right. May I be defeated, yes I may but I will still have my honor and character within me. Okay back to the originally scheduled program.

Well all of the low life people involved with the abduction, shooting and burning of the old people have been caught. They got little money from this atrocious act but those old people sure didn't deserve to die like that. Another few events now for you to chew on. Do you think you are having a bad day? A member of our church had a degenerative kidney disease so all of her children were tested to be donors and the results were that they all had the same disease lying in wait for them. Her one son has had the disease arise to the point where he needs dialysis and a new kidney but the doctor says his heart is so bad that he needs a heart transplant before he can get the kidney transplant. Talk about a bad day. Another event concerns a small Christian church that we support in India where the Hindu religion is prevalent. The preacher was told to stop talking about his religion or there would be consequences. He refused and several men took it upon themselves to proceed to beat him and the police chief kicked him in the mouth when he was on the ground and knocked his teeth out. They also burnt his church to the ground. Bad day huh? Well later five of the men came back and turned their lives over to Christ and the police chief apologized and was baptized too. So when you get up tomorrow and you hurt all over just realize how blessed it is to hurt but you get to continue on even with all your aches and pains. Isn't that wonderful?

Over the last few weeks I have observed several people who are getting up in their years, like myself, but they care way too much of how other people see them. One 74 year old guy is a farmer who has had cancer and now has neuropathy (loss of feeling) in his legs so he is very unstable on his feet yet refuses to use a cane. My buddy is also on that list as he is afflicted with COPD lung problems along with a loss of balance control so has problems walking and staying upright. Along with age comes a failing body so that is natural so why not use what is necessary to aid you on your walk through this time in your life? The alternative is to wobble and fall down like a clown which I think is worse.
Why let pride cloud your path when acceptance of life's path will smooth your travels?

Have you observed what is taking place in our world lately? In relationship to the times of Noah people were doing whatever they wanted to satisfy themselves whether it was right or wrong and to look at our present world doesn't it seem that we are leaning away from the right things too? Gay marriage is okay, marijuana is being legalized, transgender bathrooms are being forced on our schools or more like blackmailed to do such or risk losing federal funding. People are texting while driving, unconcerned that they may injure others in their pursuit of self worth and most people will take advantage of a situation if the opportunity arises. A man's word is no longer his bond and we have to look over our shoulders in fear of someone stealing our property. You do lock your car doors and home before leaving it unattended don't you? We did not have to do that years ago.
The cancer "Relay For Life" is taking place this weekend and I learned that the CEO of this organization has a salary of $914,906 plus the Susan B Komen Breast Cancer organization's ex CEO made $684,000 a year plus working for the government at the same time. Do you think that is a little exorbitant? Don't get me wrong, I think any organization that helps cancer victims is doing a wonderful deed, but 3/4 of a million dollars salary for a CEO of a nonprofit organization just seems a little high from my standpoint. What do you think?
