OK All you 'puter pros, wife wants to replace our old laptop. It's a dinosaur, slow and heavy. She does not want one of those open face pads or pods. She wants a keyboard. I was in Best buy and saw a "Acer" Chrome book. It was small light and the keyboard for Only $200. Anyone familier with these?? What's yer opinion?? Thanks guys, Santa.

Checking e-mail, surfing, recipes, games. That kind of stuff. No home businesses here. I don't know the weight but it was a small laptop, not much bigger then a "I pad"/pod thingy. But it folded down over the keypad laptop style.

Sharon isn't much of an Internet person as she doesn't do email or social networking stuff but she does use it when she wants to look up something for a trip or to buy something, which I always have to order. She wanted the Kindle so she could read the Bible without having to lug the laptop around. I think you would be safe with the Acer you are looking at for what your wife is going to use it for. Good luck.
